What Can You Drive with a HC Driver Licence?
Heavy Combination (HC class) licenses permit you to drive prime movers with single semi-trailers and Heavy Rigid (HR) vehicles with trailers that have a Gross Vehicle Mass (GVM) over 9,000 kg.
An HC license also includes specific towing conditions:

In addition to the above trailers, an additional trailer can be towed with a maximum GVM of 9,000 kg.

Are you ready for your HC drivers licence?
To obtain this licence in Western Australia, you must meet the following criteria:
The applicant must hold an MR or HR Australian licence for at least 1 year, have a Western Australian licence and a Car (C class) licence for at least 3 years.
Complete an enrolment form.
Provide 2 forms of identity (For example, a WA driver’s licence and/or learner’s permit, passport, Medicare, high risk ticket).
The DoT requires all heavy vehicle drivers to pass an eyesight test before commencing any training.
Complete the required theory assessment, practical training and practical assessment.
Visit the DoT licensing office to upgrade to this licence class.

Are you ready for your HC drivers licence?
To obtain this licence in Western Australia, you must meet the following criteria:
